Console Suite
In the Console Suite of the second DomuS3D 2026 release, a section has been added in which you can quickly identify old versions of DomuS3D so that you can uninstall them. The application identifies all versions installed on the computer, also allowing you to uninstall unused versions dating back up to 3 months before the current date; the immediately preceding version is always excluded. Advanced floor plan editing
In the 2026 version, the Trace rooms function, used to create complex and multi-room floor plans, has been enhanced and replaced by the new Advanced floor plan editing (EAP). This function allows you to develop your floor plans in a new working environment. Click here to find out more.
Advanced floor plan editing improvements
In the 2026 R2 version, the Advanced floor plan editing (EAP) module has been enhanced with the following functions:
- In advanced editing, the inclination information of non-complex ceilings is retained (click the following link to find out more)
- The different heights of rooms and low walls are retained, including the covering applied to them (see this article).
- In advanced editing, individual low walls and pillars that are not part of the room profile are coloured brown (for further information, see the “FLOOR PLAN DRAWING” section of the article).
- Possibility of entering advanced floor plan editing with a new group of rooms (for further details, see the “In the case of a project with a multi-room group” section at the following link.
- Automatic calculation of the external profile (see the “SPECIAL CASES” section of this article).
- Layer management (see the “BASIC INFORMATION” section of this article).
Ribbon command changes (polyline button, trace rooms button removed)
In DomuS3D 2026, the “Polyline” button in the CAD tab has been moved. It is now located between “Line” and “Rectangle”, in line with the standards of technical (computer-aided) drawing programmes.
With the introduction of the new Advanced floor plan editing module, the “Trace rooms” command is no longer present in the Floor plan tab of the Ribbon.
New CAD commands
- “Invert selection” command
The “Invert selection” command allows you to select all currently unselected 2D entities and furnishings and deselect those currently selected (all 2D entities and furnishings that were previously outside the selection will be inside it after the command, and vice versa).
This command can be useful when, in a complex floor plan imported via a DXF or DWG file, it is easier to identify certain entities to exclude from the subsequent operation, whereas identifying the entities on which you intend to act would be more difficult.
- Updated “Trim” command
In DomuS3D 2026, the “Trim” command in the CAD tab of the Ribbon is faster. Once activated, all CAD 2D entities in the floor plan are already selected; simply left-click on the parts to trim near the intersecting entity.
Note: DomuS3D considers a rectangle to be a single entity, so it is not possible to click on one side to delete it.
- New commands in the context menu
Other new features are available in the polyline pop-up menu: the Segment menu (with Move/Delete and Add Vertex)
Click on a Poly vertex to display Delete Vertex and the vertical/horizontal alignments:
Evolution of the CAD commands
In the second release of DomuS3D 2026, several CAD commands and functions have been improved. The updates are also available in CAD (from Floor plan) and Wall2D, as well as in advanced floor plan editing.
- “Polyline->Start from” command
- The Corner context menu has been added
- The Polyline Segment menu has been added
- The Polyline->Segment->Move command has been improved (positioning dimensions added)
- Polyline->Segment->Move + Delta has been added to the menu
- Polyline->Add Vertex has been added to the menu

- The “Extend” command has also been extended to segments of open polylines
- The “Fillet” command is also available for open polylines and closes them
- More intuitive “Trim” command
- “Change to arc” command starting from a linear segment

New Basket management window
In DomuS3D, baskets (also called trolleys) are essentially containers/“selection lists” where you can quickly collect the database items you are interested in, without having to search for them each time or risk losing them among thousands of items. New functions have been integrated into the 2026 version. Click here to read the full article.
Configurable catalogue integrations
Configurable catalogues in DomuS3D are items that can be customised according to the specifications of the manufacturing company. The user can create various compositions, with all the parts specified by the manufacturer being editable.
In this new version, the management and display of configurable items have been improved. The insertion of configurable items, whether meta-items or meta-models, is simpler and more immediate. In addition, new types of configurable catalogues have been added, such as staircases and showers.

Virtuo improvements
Virtuo is the perfect tool for presenting any project created with DomuS3D, using the most advanced Virtual Reality technologies. The virtual experience can be accessed on various types of devices, providing the designer with a wide range of solutions to engage the customer and guide them through every stage, from design to purchase.
Recent versions have integrated new functions, such as the ability to open and close doors directly in the virtual experience, while other functions have been improved. Click here to read the full article!
Domus3D 2026 R2: export and processing of very large projects from Domus are supported
(compatible ONLY with the latest version of Virtuo 7 2.64) and renderable areas containing images.
AI module
Starting from the R2 release of DomuS3D 2026, the new AI Module is available. In addition to the usual commands for facilitated floor plan upload, photo upload in RealityRemod and Enlarge image with AI, it offers the new Smart Painter function (Generative AI) for images. This extremely powerful function allows you to obtain rendered images of scenes in an extremely simple and fast way, with all the flexibility of subsequent scene editing typical of Generative AI. This function can save you a considerable amount of time when finalising images to share with the customer. Interactive Rendering
When the project “is visible” as you build it! Interactive Rendering is a new function that brings continuous, real-time rendering based on V-Ray into DomuS3D. The objective is simple: to allow designers to see the impact of changes as they work, without having to switch to traditional rendering each time. How does it work? Click here.
NB. This more advanced function will therefore replace the previous REAL-TIME-RENDERING.
Reality Remod and TileInspector integration
RealityRemod was created as a web app designed to transform a simple photograph into a realistic simulation, replacing floors and coverings using surface-recognition and AI techniques.
The new feature is that, starting from version 2026, this technology is integrated directly into DomuS3D: this means fewer steps, a faster showroom workflow and the possibility of working “inside” the programme, while remaining within the logic of the Live! page.

3D tile viewer
- Integration of Tile Inspector within DomuS3D. For more information, read the article TileInspector.
New interaction from Navigation
- “Undo” command. Returning to the previous state is smoother and does not always require the complete recalculation of the scene.
- When a covering is applied to a niche, the programme asks whether you want to cover all the element’s surfaces. For more information, read the article Covering niches and objects in the 2D window.
- Extension of coverings and materials to all vertical surfaces of the room, including those of pillars and partition walls, only if they are connected to the walls
Various updates and bug fixing
- Starting from Domus 2026 R2, the way project and furnishing data are saved has been changed, meaning that it will no longer be possible to export a project to previous versions. For more information, click here.
- Corrected display of the niche in the Wall 2D window and in Composer prints
- Render Manager – the covering calculation algorithms have been improved, resolving cases in which some tiles were not applied correctly.
- An issue with strip coverings applied to objects drawn in Wall 2D has been fixed. Previously, on some objects, the tiles were arranged vertically instead of according to the expected alignment.
Optional modules for companies with multiple licences
We have new modules that can be applied to standalone licences, combining the high performance of Standalone with the Client-Server capabilities for centralising data (projects, statistics and restricted catalogues).
Three new (optional) modules are available for the Standalone version and can be activated separately from the basic licence.
- Restricted catalogue management module, allowing key administrators to limit the catalogues that can be downloaded, making only the relevant catalogues available.
- Statistics module, allowing key administrators to view statistics relating to programme usage, such as logins, catalogues used, project information, etc.
- Remote management of automatic backup settings for groups of keys
New AI models for Smart Painter
The AI models for Smart Painter have been further enhanced. The main new features are:
Integration of GEMINI models
New preconfigured prompts for creating mood boards or top-down renders of a room

Image editing: possibility of using a secondary image in addition to the main scene image. With the secondary image, you can, for example:
drag a piece of furniture from the components window into Smart Painter and ask the AI to replace the one present in the render
use an image of a tile on your file system (including a tile that is not in your catalogue but that you downloaded from the web) and ask the AI to cover the floor with the image you provided
use an image of a 3D tile for the edge of a swimming pool as a reference image, and ask the AI to add it to your pool render

New Artificial Intelligence model solely for creating rendered images. It has a much lower credit cost than the models that allow you to edit images, precisely because it was designed exclusively to generate images with a high graphic impact (very similar to, and often better than, those generated with the rendering engine) for users who:
a. are not experts in rendering techniques,
b. have low-powered computers
c. although familiar with V-Ray rendering techniques, need to obtain very fast renders (in the order of a few tens of seconds)
This new module could truly represent the right compromise for access to very fast rendering that does not require advanced technical skills. This new model is still in the experimental phase: contact your sales representative to find out more.
3D Inspector
In previous versions, you will certainly have appreciated the TileInspector module, which allows you to interact in 3D with a tile, even without positioning it inside a project, by activating it from the components window (catalogue). Starting from this version, you can do the same thing with 3DInspector, which allows you to view and interact in 3D with static or configurable furniture.
The 3DInspector interface is the one shown in the following image:
If the item is configurable, you can select the available variants in the right-hand column to experiment with the structure and finishes.
Note that 3DInspector does not operate on items imported and saved in the database in its local version.
Automatic project backup
If you do not want to perform a complete backup of DomuS3D using the Application manager because it may be too large (for more information about this module, click here), you can enable the automatic backup of completed projects on a server or in the cloud. This new function allows you, in the event of data loss, to restore all drawings without losing information about the furnishings and tiles inserted.
Project restoration
With the addition of automatic project backup, a command has been introduced that allows you to restore projects quickly by setting, in the options, the folder in which the backup was performed and where it will continue to be performed.
Revised import package command
The package import procedure has been revised. During single or multiple import, the command checks each package to determine whether there are conflicts, that is, whether a project with the same internal identifier as the package and an older date already exists locally. In that case, the window shown below is displayed, where you can decide whether or not to overwrite the files (if in doubt, we recommend importing the package as a copy as well, so that both projects are retained):
By activating the appropriate flag, you can apply the change to all the projects you are importing.
Various improvements
- Activation of the clipping plane is also visible in interactive rendering
- The Room Area command has been added to the room context menu to calculate the area and perimeter of the room.
- The Offset command has been added to the polyline segment context menu to create a new segment parallel to the original one, positioned at a specified distance.
- Faster UNDO in Navigation: especially with large projects, the Undo function (cancel last command) has been greatly optimised, making it faster to regain control of the programme
- Import of 3DS, SKP and FBX files with very large surfaces has been fixed
- Coverings on the thresholds of partition walls are no longer lost when large and complex projects are closed and reopened
- Improved “coverable face” command on very large objects.
- Various improvements to the Advanced Floor Plan Editing module
- Various improvements to the 2D CAD module
