If you are using DomuS3D 2024, this document provides a brief list of the main new features available in the new 2025 version.
If you have already received the link for the update to version 2025, you’ll find instructions for the installation procedure and hardware requirements at this link, otherwise, if you need further assistance, you may contact us by sending an email to: support@maticad.com
Enhanced "Trace Rooms" Function
New commands have been added:
- Once the various rooms are defined, you can freely move a vertex to adjust the room's shape precisely.
- The "Import with AI" command is smarter thanks to a new neural network version and improvements within DomuS3D. Room recognition from DWG/DXF files is more accurate.
- Horizontal and vertical alignment commands are more intuitive, showing reference lines to assist the user.
- Improved snapping mechanism during profile editing.
Creating Profiles for the "Trace Room" Command
When you create a closed profile, DomuS3D lets you link it to the "Trace Rooms" function. From the selection window, you can activate the "Add to Trace Rooms" command.
Once confirmed, the polyline is assigned a dedicated layer with distinctive visual properties. When activating the "Trace Rooms" command, the profile is automatically recognized as the internal perimeter of the plan's rooms. This makes it easier to draw profiles for later use (including curved walls).
Creation of External Rooms
You can now create new external rooms in addition to an existing floor plan. Conditions:
- The starting and ending wall must not be modeled.
- The rooms must be adjacent.
Improved commands for floor plan management
Improved Left/Right Recess Command
The "ADD LEFT/RIGHT RECESS" command now works with external walls, allowing better modeling of wall thickness—particularly useful when creating new rooms or subdividing existing ones.

Improved Multiple Selection Window
Now includes filters to show only the entities you need. You can filter by text or select specific types, allowing more precise interaction.
Navigation: Applying Materials to Walls
When you drag a material onto a wall in 3D Navigation, you can choose to apply it to all the walls in the room—making the process faster than before.
V-Ray Rendering
Rendering is faster with both CPU and GPU. If you're using an RTX graphics card, GPU rendering performance is even better due to a new AI module that can cut rendering times by up to 75%. Note: This AI module is experimental and may not be compatible with your hardware..
VIRTUO: Door and windows animations
In Virtuo, you can now open doors and windows as in DomuS3D, allowing smooth room-to-room navigation.
VIRTUO: Starting point customization
When exporting your project to Virtuo, the starting point corresponds to the one chosen in DomuS3D's virtual navigation window.
VIRTUO: Improved material handling
Better rendering of all glass types, especially colored ones
Support for screen printing on glass
Improved surface roughness effects
More accurate color rendering and temperature in scenes
New CAD commands
-
- Set Active Layer: A command in the ribbon bar shows all project layers (locked layers are visible but not selectable), letting you choose the active one. All new 2D/3D entities will be added to this layer.
- Close Open Polyline: A new context menu option for polylines allows you to close the profile, which can then be used as a room, object, or profile for the "Trace Room" function
