Suite Console
In the Suite Console of the second release of DomuS3D 2026, a section has been added where you can quickly locate old versions of DomuS3D to uninstall them. The application identifies all versions installed on the computer, also allowing the uninstallation of versions not used within 3 months prior to the current date, always excluding the immediately previous version. Advanced Floor Plan Editing
In the 2026 version, the Trace rooms function, used for creating complex and multi-room floor plans, has been enhanced and replaced by the new Advanced Floor Plan Editing (EAP). This function allows you to develop your floor plans in a new working environment. Click here for more details.
Enhanced Advanced Floor Plan Editing
In the 2026 R2 version, the Advanced Floor Plan Editing (EAP) module has been enhanced with the following features:
- In advanced editing, the information about the inclination of non-complex ceilings is maintained (click the following link for more details)
- Different heights of rooms and small walls are preserved, including the coverings applied to them (see this article).
- In advanced editing, single small walls and pillars that are not part of the room profile are coloured brown (for more details see the “FLOOR PLAN DRAWING” section of the article).
- Ability to enter advanced floor plan editing with a new group of rooms (for more details see the “In the case of a project with a multi-room group” section at the following link).
- Automatic calculation of the external profile (see the “SPECIAL CASES” section of this article).
- Layer management (consult the “BASICS” section of this article).
Ribbon Command Modifications (Polyline button, Trace rooms button removed)
In DomuS3D 2026, the “Polyline” button in the CAD tab has been moved; it is now located between “Line” and “Rectangle” to align with the standards of assisted technical drawing programmes.
With the introduction of the new Advanced Floor Plan Editing module, the “Trace rooms” command is no longer present in the Floor Plan tab of the Ribbon.
New CAD Commands
- “Invert selection” command
The “Invert selection” command allows you to select all currently unselected 2D entities and furniture and deselect those currently selected (all 2D entities and furniture that were previously outside the selection will be included after the command and vice versa).
This command can be useful when, in a complex floor plan imported via DXF or DWG files, it is easier to identify some entities to exclude from the next action, while it would be more challenging to identify the entities you want to act upon.
- “Cut” command updated
In DomuS3D 2026, the “Cut” command present in the CAD tab of the Ribbon is faster; once activated, all 2D CAD entities in the floor plan are already selected, and you only need to left-click on the parts to be cut near the intersecting entity.
Note: DomuS3D considers the rectangle as a single entity, so it is not possible to click on one side to delete it.
- New commands in the context menu
Other new features are in the polyline popup menu: the Segment menu (with Move/Delete and Add Vertex)
Clicking on a vertex of a polyline shows Delete Vertex and vertical/horizontal alignments:
Evolution of CAD Commands
In the second release of DomuS3D 2026, several CAD commands and features have been improved; the updates are also available in CAD (from Floor Plan) and on Wall2D as well as in advanced floor plan editing
- “Polyline->Start from” command
- Added context menu for Edge
- Added menu for Polyline Segment
- Improved Polyline->Segment->Move command (added positioning dimensions)
- Added in menu Polyline->Segment->Move + Delta
- Added in menu Polyline->Add vertex
For more information on CAD commands, read the article Draw using the CAD module
- “Extend” command extended also to open polyline segments
- “Fillet” command available also for open and closed polylines
- “Cut” command made more intuitive
- “Change to arc” command starting from a linear segment

New Basket Management Interface
In DomuS3D, baskets (also called carts) are essentially containers/“selection lists” where you quickly collect items from the database that interest you, without having to search for them every time or risk losing them among thousands of elements. In the 2026 version, new features have been integrated. Click here to read the full article.
Configurable Catalogue Integrations
Configurable catalogues in DomuS3D are elements customisable according to the manufacturer’s specifications; the user can create various compositions, modifiable in all parts provided by the manufacturer.
In this new version, the management and display of configurable elements have been improved. The insertion of configurable elements, whether meta articles or meta models, is simpler and more immediate; moreover, new types of configurable catalogues have been introduced, such as stairs or showers.

Virtuo Improvements
Virtuo is the perfect tool to present any project created with DomuS3D, through the most advanced Virtual Reality technologies. The virtual experience is accessible on different types of devices, providing the designer with a wide range of solutions to engage the client and guide them through every phase, from design to purchase.
With recent versions, new features have been integrated, such as the ability to open and close doors directly in the virtual experience, and others have been improved. Click here to read the full article!
DomuS3D 2026 R2: Managed export and processing of very large projects from DomuS
(compatible ONLY with the latest version of Virtuo 7 2.64) and tileable areas containing images.
AI Module
With DomuS3D 2026, the first AI Module arrives, designed to speed up some tasks that, in daily practice, “steal” time and concentration: reconstructing a floor plan using the Import with AI command, improving the quality of a rendering image with Super Resolution (Enlarge), or working in RealityRemod (RR) directly inside the programme, starting from your own photo.
The AI (Artificial Intelligence) package is a BETA version, and is not active by default: it will be enabled on request and free for a limited period.
Enhanced AI Module
- New module for creating high-quality images through AI (Smart painter)
Interactive Rendering
When the project “is visible” as you build it! Interactive Rendering is a new feature that brings continuous, real-time rendering into DomuS3D, based on V-Ray. The goal is simple: to allow the designer to see the impact of changes as they work, without having to switch to traditional rendering each time. How does it work? Click here.
Note. This more advanced feature will replace the previous REAL-TIME-RENDERING.
Reality Remod and TileInspector Integration
RealityRemod was created as a web app designed to transform a simple photo into a realistic simulation, replacing floors and coverings using surface recognition techniques and AI.
New in version 2026 is that this technology is directly integrated into DomuS3D: meaning fewer steps, a faster workflow in showrooms, and the ability to work “inside” the programme, staying within the logic of the Live! page.
What is it for and how does it work? Click here to find out!
3D Tile Viewer
- Integration of Tile Inspector within DomuS3D. For more information read the article TileInspector.
New Navigation Interaction
- “Undo” command: returning to the previous state is smoother and does not always require a full scene recalculation.
- When applying a covering to a niche, the programme asks if you want to cover all surfaces of the element. For more information read the article Covering niches and objects in 2D window.
- Extension of coverings and materials to all vertical surfaces of the room, including those of pillars and partition walls only if connected to the walls
Various Updates and Bug Fixes
- Starting from DomuS 2026 R2, the way project and furniture data are saved has been changed, so it will no longer be possible to export a project to previous versions. For more info click here.
- Corrected display of niches in the Wall 2D window and in prints with Composer
- Render Manager – calculation algorithms for coverings have been improved to resolve cases where some tiles were not applied correctly.
- An anomaly on banded coverings applied to objects drawn in Wall 2D has been corrected. Previously, on some objects, tiles were arranged vertically instead of according to the expected alignment.
