To begin, ensure that the tile image file is saved on the local disk of the computer where the program is installed. It's best to avoid using external media such as USB drives or external hard drives.
Image Specifications
For optimal results, the tile image you wish to add to the database should be cropped into a rectangular or square shape, with no white background space. The image should ideally meet the following criteria:
- Format: JPG or PNG;
- Free from color or light distortions (such as reflections, light spots, or flash) that might affect the tile's visual quality when repeated;
- Appropriate dimensions to guarantee high-quality rendering.
Below are some examples of suitable images:
Tile Insertion
To insert the tile into DomuS3D, follow these steps:
1. Select the COVERINGS tab from the COMPONENTS tab on the left.
2. Click the "New" button at the top.
3. Enter the tile's details (SKU, description, manufacturer, etc...) in the dedicated window and upload the corresponding image in the appropriate section.
TILES WITH MULTIPLE FACES
If you need to insert tiles with shade variations (such as marble, wood, or cement tiles), it's important to rename all images associated with the same item code using a sequential numbering format, followed by the "@" symbol. The recommended convention is: Product_SKU@Face_Number.
Please see the below example:
- product_sku@1
- product_sku@2
- product_sku@3
- etc.
Next, all you have to do is associate the first image (@1), with the new tile within DomuS3D (in the window above).
