The Components window is the most important and most often used control panel within the program: it gives direct access to the most critical components of DomuS3D such as projects, furnishings, tiles, materials, and more.
To view an individual section of the components window click on the Show button present in the Home tab of the main Ribbon and then select the section that you want to view.
Similarly, you can click on the tab directly from the Components window to show that section or use the keyboard shortcuts shown in the picture above.
The sections are the following:
Projects: This is the first tab available. It contains a preloaded set of example projects provided with the program and the projects created and saved by the user.
Furnishings: This section is home to furnishing items and 3D items that can be used during the design phase of your project. The items displayed in this section are those that are stored locally in the database of the program. You can add more furnishing items and 3D items to the local database by either downloading and importing them manually or by using the Live! page of the program.
Coverings: This is undoubtedly the most used section of the Components window, home to the flooring and wall materials and tiles that can be used during the design phase of your project. Again, the items available here are those that are stored locally in the program database (you can add additional items as stated above). With the "Options" arrow at the bottom of the window, you can modify the configuration of this section to match your needs.
Patterns: Our dynamic and responsive patterns are available in this section and are organized based on the number of tiles, the configuration of the pattern, and the shapes present within the pattern. These patterns give you the ability to quickly and easily tile floors and walls with the exact pattern you need, including complex formats.
Materials: This section contains all of the materials (textures) that can be assigned to 3D objects with a simple drag & drop operation within the Navigation window. These materials can vary slightly based on the rendering engine used.
Panels: This section contains predesigned tiling panels that can be applied to an entire surface using a simple drag & drop operation within the Navigation window.
Images: This section contains images that can be used within a project by inserting them using drag & drop. You can apply an image to a surface from the object layers present in the room. You can customize this gallery, adding or eliminating images (.jpeg or .png) within the program folder: ...\DomuS3D\Bitmap\Images
Rooms: This section contains the predesigned room templates available within the program. You can choose one of these templates from which to create a new project.
Lights: This section contains preset lights, which vary by type and intensity, and can be inserted into the 2D floorplan of the project by using drag & drop.
Photo2D: This section contains two dimensional shapes that can be inserted into a project using drag & drop and can be used if you want to insert a simple image (for example, of a person) and not an entire 3D element.
