If you have a multi-room layout, or any project in which it is not possible to visualize your entire space with just one single 360 panorama image (the floorplan below, for example), it can be useful to connect multiple 360 panorama images of your different rooms to one another so you can move directly between them to easily visualize your entire project from multiple viewpoints.
To obtain a full project view made up of multiple 360 panorama images, follow these steps:
- Open the desired project
- Open a 360 panorama image of one of the rooms of the project (File->External documents->Open image)
- Click on the Save Panorama 360 button:
- A pop-up menu will appear where a preview of the panorama will be visible and where you can change the name and the description of the Virtual Tour. Apply all desired changes and uncheck the box that says “Share immediately”. Move on to the next step by clicking OK
- Open the second 360 panorama image for the project (File -> External Documents -> Open Image)
- Click on the Save Panorama 360 button:
- A pop-up window will once again appear with the preview of the second panorama. This time, select the option "Existing VirtualTour" and from the drop-down menu select the Virtual Tour you just created, the one corresponding to the first image opened above (see image below). Uncheck the box "Share when closing" and click OK to proceed.
- A new window will open where it is possible to position hotspots around the room. These hotspots allow you to easily move around the room, passing from one panorama image to the other. Select the preview of the starting panorama image from the left-hand menu to visualize it in the main central window. Decide where you want the hotspot for the second image to be placed and drag the preview image of the second panorama to this location in the main image (see image below).
- Once you've dragged and dropped the preview image of the second panorama into your first image, you'll find a hotspot icon in the point you indicated.
- By clicking on the hotspot icon, DomuS3D will zoom into the point and automatically open the second panorama image. Now, repeat the same process in the reverse direction, in order to place a hotspot to go back to your first image from within your second image.
- Once you've verified that your hotspots are working as desired, save your Virtual Tour by clicking on the X to close the window, saving the project with the pop-up window that appears.
- Proceed with sharing your Virtual Tour using the standard process (for more information on how to share your 360 panorama image, please see this article).
