The version of RealityRemod integrated into DomuS3D (also referred to as RRD) can be launched using the button available in the Live! Page Ribbon.
Alternatively, from the Live! Page, you can click the dedicated button, as shown in the image.
In both cases, it is not necessary to have a project open.
With integrated RealityRemod you can:
Start from an image (a photographed real environment);
“Cover” floors and/or walls with tiles available in the catalog;
Quickly compare alternatives in front of the customer, without switching to a browser or external tools.
It is the same concept as the RealityRemod web app, but brought directly into the environment where you already work: DomuS3D.
Image Selection and Opening the Viewer
Once the HOME page is open, choose an image from those available and enter the RR Viewer to customize it.
Applying a Covering: Drag & Drop from the Coverings Section
By dragging a tile from the Components – COVERINGS section of DomuS3D onto the scene (floor and/or walls, depending on the image), the applicable areas will be highlighted.
⚠ WARNING: The joint spacing and rotation settings defined in the Components window are not applied when assigning coverings in RRD. After application, these parameters must be adjusted using the controls in the right-hand panel (specifically those of the RRD viewer).
You can also manage the installation origin simply by dragging the mouse with the left button pressed over the covering.
RealityRemod works with materials served from our cloud. This means that manually added tiles in your local DomuS3D catalog cannot currently be used in RRD.
Applying an Installation Pattern
After covering the surfaces, you can also apply installation patterns to the scene using the same method: drag the pattern from the COMPONENTS – PATTERNS section onto the desired area.
Currently, only patterns that use a single tile type are supported.
You can subsequently adjust pattern positioning, rotation, joint thickness, and joint color.
Image Management
Using the toolbar at the top of the viewer, you can:
Use the adjustment slider to modify light intensity in real time.
Press the Play button (green arrow) to start the light animation and dynamically evaluate the lighting effect on the installation.
Use the eye icon to show/hide the original unmodified image.
On the right side of the environment, in the Properties panel, you will find additional recommended commands:
Download button
to save the generated result.
-
Print command
to create a short booklet for the customer.
-
Comparison tool
, which allows you to apply different materials to the same scene and view them simultaneously. Using the “Apply” button at the top, you can confirm one of the two options.
Material Summary button, which provides a history of the materials used.
From the Environments tab, you can change the image at any time, also selecting a specific type from the drop-down menu.
Tile Details and 3D Viewer (TileInspector)
Each time you apply a covering in RealityRemod, you can view the selected material details in the right-hand Properties panel.
Product Page: opens the material data sheet and links directly to the manufacturer’s website.
“3D” Button
: launches TileInspector.
TileInspector is a web-based viewer, now also integrated into DomuS3D via RealityRemod, allowing photorealistic 3D visualization of any surface.
Within TileInspector you can:
Interact with the tile using the mouse, rotating it in 3D to evaluate its effect according to light direction;
Change the graphic/variant of the same tile (if shade variations are available);
View the surface in “pattern” mode for a more technical and structured analysis.
Click here to discover all TileInspector features.
UPLOAD MY PHOTO (AI BETA)
Within RRD, the UPLOAD MY PHOTO feature allows you to upload a personal photo (for example, a real photo of the customer’s environment or one taken in the showroom) and use it as a base for replacing floors and coverings.
This feature is part of an AI (Artificial Intelligence) BETA package, which is not active by default. It can be enabled upon request and will be available free of charge for a limited period.
Operational note: as a BETA feature, availability may be limited and performance/results may depend on the type and quality of the uploaded photo (lighting, perspective, visible surfaces).

This article is valid for version 2026 and later.
