When designing a bathroom, it's important to choose the right distance to leave as space between sanitary fixtures based on the size of the room.
According to current regulations on minimum distances in a bathroom (UNI 2182/2014), here below are the minimum distances to be observed during installation:- Distance between the bidet and WC: minimum 20 cm;
- Distance between the WC and the wall: minimum 15 cm;
- Distance between the bidet and the wall: minimum 20 cm;
- Distance between the bidet and the shower/bathtub: minimum 20 cm;
- Distance between the WC and the shower/bathtub: minimum 10 cm;
- Distance between the washbasin and sanitary fixtures (WC or bidet): minimum 10 cm;
- Distance between the washbasin and the shower/bathtub: minimum 10 cm.
According to the same regulation, the measurements change if the sanitary fixtures are positioned opposite each other or facing a wall. In such cases, a minimum distance of 55 centimeters is required.
In DomuS3D, you can check the distance between sanitary fixtures and other objects in the room while positioning them. When you drag an item and align it along a wall, in addition to the usual dimensions showing the distance between the connection point and the wall corners, two additional measurements are displayed (highlighted in red in the next image). These measurements indicate the distance between the edge of the sanitary fixture being positioned and the closest fixtures or objects to its right or left.
By pressing the Tab key multiple times, you can activate the right/left distance of the fixture or the connection point.
By pressing the P key, you can hide the fields related to the distance from nearby elements, starting to drag the object from one of the points on its outermost profile (technically called the "bound box").
