The quickest way to assign a new material to an existing object is to drag and drop it from the Components window.
Open the Navigation window and move the point of view so that you can see the object you’re going to modify.
Then, open the Materials section in the Components window, find out the material you want to apply, select it, drag and drop it with the left mouse button over the object.
Do not release the mouse for a while when you’re on the object: try moving the mouse over the object. If the object has more layers the Application highlights the layer you’re over. As you can see in the next images, a yellow color tells you about the currently selected layer. When you are on the desired layer, release the left mouse button to definitively drop the material. Do it as many times as you want, even on the same layers.
Note: this is a graphic change you’re making to the object. None of these graphic modifications will be reported by the project estimate, so keep this in mind if you need to modify the cabinet’s price or material information.
