If you need to change the width or color of your grout for a tile already applied to a surface in your project, you can right click on the tile from the 3D navigation, 2D wall or 2D floor windows.
From the context menu, you can select "Grout" and then choose either "Thickness" or "Color".
THICKNESS
When you select on "Thickness", the below window will appear where you can put in a new value:
It's important to specify a new value for your grout that is in the units of measure set in the program (see program options to change unit of measure). If you don't know which unit of measure you are using, see the bottom status bar in the bottom right of the program.
COLOR
If you need to change the grout color of an existing tile installation within the program, you have two options:
The first option, as described above, is to right click on the tile and select "Grout" and then "Color".
The program will ask you to specify if you want to change the color by: "Free Color", as in a standard RGB color from the Windows color pallette, "Labor material", as in a specific grout material loaded in the program, or "Tile colors median", as in tone-on-tone.
Then, you'll have to specify whether or not you want to change the grout color for only the selected surface (wall) or for all the surfaces present in the entire room (room).
Note: this method lets you see the difference even if grout is set to 0; in this case, DomuS3D will draw a thin line in the 2D window (2D wall or 2D floor) so that technical printouts can be generated for installers showing clear indications even when grout = 0.
The second option lets you directly apply a material from the Material tab of the Components window from the 3D navigation window. Select the type of material desired and then drag and drop it directly onto the desired surface. The surface will light up to indicate the destination before you release the material.
At this point, the program will ask you if you'd like to apply the color only to the selected surface (row of tile on wall), to all similar rows of tile on the walls of the room, to the entire wall, or to the entire room.
