The thickness of walls can assume varying shapes and sizes and does not have to be uniform throughout; the software allows you to model walls by adding corners, recessed areas (indents), and/or clearings.
Let's take a closer look:
- Add corner: inserting a corner point allows you to model a wall with varying thickness. Once the command is activated from the Layout section in the Ribbon, the software asks you to indicate the position of the corner. This position can be assigned freely by clicking the left button of the mouse on the wall or specifying the precise position using the fields that are shown on the right and on the left (to move from the right to the left input field use the TAB key).
Once the corner is added, it is possible to move it inside the room thus modifying the thickness of the wall where the corner was placed.

- Add Right/Left Indent: If the layout has a full height re-entry/recessed area/indent (i.e. a closet or wall bookcase), with this command it is possible to modify the thickness of the wall quickly and easily. After the command is activated, specify the position of the indent on the chosen wall (the position can be indicated with a mouse click or using the specific fields - to move from the right to the left input field use the TAB key).
DomuS3D divides the wall at the selected point and holds the left portion of the wall fixed at the selected point (assuming a frontal view). Subsequently, the software asks you to indicate the direction the wall rises and its relative thickness. This can be set up manually with a simple mouse click or by writing the measure in the dynamic quote field.

It is possible to switch between right/left sides while the command is active by right clicking and selecting "Switch Side".
- Rectify Wall: to "rectify" the thickness of a portion of an irregular wall:
