If you need to create alternative options for materials and furnishings in your room, you can accomplish this using a straightforward command, without the need to rebuild the project from scratch.
From the floor plan, right-click within the room and select "Copy." All of the room's contents, including furnishings, objects, coverings, lights, views, and more, will be temporarily stored in the program's memory until the next command is executed or the program is closed.
After executing the copy command, right-click on an empty area of the floorplan and select "Paste Room".
This operation can be carried out in several ways and for several reasons:
- This technique can be used to create and compare different tiling solutions, for example, within the same project.
- You can execute this command by closing the current project, opening a new empty project, and pasting the room from memory. This allows you to create an alternative solution while keeping the two projects separate and distinct. This method is preferable if your goal is to maintain optimal processing speed and prevent the project from becoming too large.
- You can execute this command by opening a previously created project and pasting the room from memory. This enables the creation of a multi-room project by working on each room individually in separate projects and then combining them at the end.
- To "transfer" furnishings and tiles (including those created with the draw object command) from one project to another.
