When you create a new project in DomuS3D, the default window that opens is the LAYOUT window, which gives us an overhead 2D view of our floorplan. This, along with the Live! page window, will be the only window open.
To visualize our room in 3D, we have to open the 3D Navigation Window. There are three ways to open this window:
1. Click on the Navigate button available in the top Ribbon from the LAYOUT tab or the VIRTUAL NAVIGATION tab.
2. Use the keyboard shortcut Shift + F6 or CTRL + 3 (unless you have customized your keyboard shortcuts differently).
3. Right click on any empty space inside or outside your project in the layout window and select the Virtual Navigation command from the context menu.
If the navigation window is already open in the background (i.e. the tab is open, but isn't currently visible), the above commands won't open a second window but will simply make visible the window already open in the background.
It is not necessary to close the navigation window to go back to the layout window; you can leave the window open and continue to work in the layout or in a 2D window to modify your floor/walls. When the navigation window is open in the background, it remains inactive and does not utilize the computer's resources. It will automatically update with changes made to the project once active again.
Lastly, CTRL+Tab is a useful keyboard shortcut that allows you to switch between open windows of any WindowsTM application.
